Job Description:
Canyon Coal, a leading mining company in South Africa, is for a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our team on a 3-month contract. This is a unique opportunity to contribute your expertise to a dynamic and growing organization in the mining industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on mining equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks efficiently.
- Participate in the planning and execution of electrical projects.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably in a mining or industrial setting.
- A valid Electrical Trade Certificate.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, equipment, and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work in a challenging and dynamic mining environment.
- Valid Drivers license
- Medium Voltage training
- Physically fit and able to pass a medical/fitness test
