Job Description:

As a Millwright Underground, you will be an integral part of our mining operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with the mine supervisor to obtain daily and weekly work instructions
• Planning and prioritizing work, along with the necessary resources, to complete tasks efficiently.
• Coordinating maintenance activities with the team leader to minimize operational disruptions
• Ensuring the safe and proper operation of all machinery and equipment.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and participating in improvement projects
• actively identifying and addressing risks and threats to the process.
• Maintaining accurate technical data and completing necessary reports and documentation.
• Adhering to safety and legal requirements while promoting a safe working environment.
• Providing support during after-hours standby duty when required
• Ensure that technical data is accurate
• Complete requisitions for stock items required
• Prepare ad-hoc reports for management or other information customers
• Complete the necessary job cards relating to the task done including and description of work and spares used
• Participate in required meetings including safety
• Accurately complete role administration requirements
• Act in Mine Supervisor positions

Qualifications:

• Grade 10, or Technical Trade Specific N2.
• Trade Certificate for Millwright (essential)
• Medium Voltage Certificate (advantageous)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to work in shifts, standby, and overtime.
• Must be medically fit.

Experience, knowledge, and skills required:

• At least 3 years of post-trade experience
• Previous mining experience is essential.
